As watchmen we have a responsibility to raise the alarm to the Christian church of coming troubles that we are aware of that may cause physical, emotional and/or spiritual harm to a group or individuals. This harm may come in the form of deception, discouragement, disillusionment and/or physical danger.

This disclaimer is to point out what Watchmen NZ is and what it is not especially in regards to responsibility of content published. It also serves to highlight the reader's responsibility when using or referencing this site.

Test everything

Whilst Watchmen NZ are responsible for bringing warnings, the individual believer is responsible for testing the message.

"Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil." ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world." ~ 1 John 4:1

"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith..." ~ 1 Peter 5:8-9

Testing prophecies and the spirits is outside the scope of this website, but it involves testing the message against the Word of God (the Bible).

Having said this, Watchmen NZ take our role very seriously and do verify our articles to the best of our ability, review articles against others before publication, we pray about messages and their timing, and are accountable to each other and Our Lord.

Regarding political correctness

Whilst we take every measure to be polite and respectful of everyone and their choices of belief or lifestyle, we must also speak the truth as led by the Holy Spirit. We see, in many instances, being PC (Politically Correct) has been elevated above the truth to the detriment of society and individuals.

As Watchmen we are called to speak the truth in love, but we do not have a calling to be politically correct or to tickle peoples ears with what they would like to hear or make people feel good or okay about a particular habit or lifestyle that contravenes Gods Word.

Third party comments

Whilst we take care in preventing third party comments or responses that are profane or offensive from appearing on our site or Facebook page, it may still be possible for some profanities or offensive messages to appear. We look to you to assist us in raising awareness of anything that may have breached the filters in place so we can address it.

Disagreeable material

We are aware that there may be disagreement with much of the content published on this website. Yet we are not called to be agreeable with the world, but rather to honour Gods will and His truth.

"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: 'I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.'" ~ 1 Corinthians 1:18-19

Things unmentioned

Whilst we strive to give as much relevant content as possible, as Watchmen and individuals we each have a specific calling from God. This means that we will not necessarily cover everything related to a topic and we may not touch on some areas at all. It is possible some things are not on our radar, but also God has His timing too. God provides other ministries through other individuals and/or groups in the Body of Christ. Our focus here is to be Watchmen, but if you have questions about other things please ask through our Contact page and we may be able to help or point you in the right direction.

"Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ." ~ 1 Corinthians 12:12-27
